Current Health Status
I sometimes get emails asking me how my health condition is now since the Earth Axis Syndrome article was last updated in 2013. Unfortunately, the answer is that all of the symptoms listed in that article are still present today, and I still do not have a diagnosis.
This page will be updated semi-regularly with my current health status.

With my mom back at work, leaving the house has become more of a challenge. She tries to take me out when she gets off at 3pm, but by then my health can be rather bad (it gets worse throughout the day) and sometimes I can only handle a short car ride around the block.
My initial SSI claim was rejected. A doctor told me they reject most people the first time around, but it’s still disheartening when I put so much effort and detail into explaining my condition. I’m not sure if they even read what I wrote. My appeal will be turned in today. Hopefully they read it carefully so that they understand how debilitating my condition is.
Not much new health wise. I tried taking CBD oil for a month as a Hail Mary attempt to see if it could somehow affect my balance, but it did not. Lately my back has been in more pain than usual. That’s what happens when you spend almost all day in bed. I could probably use some visits to a chiropractor, but the one I trust is an hour away and the adjustments are difficult with my inability to lie down.

My mom is on summer break from working at a school, so I now have more opportunities to leave the house. I try to go out twice a day, once before noon, and again by 3pm. The first trip is usually walking in a store nearby like Target, while the second trip is sometimes just a car ride since I may be too sick by then. I take short breaks while walking in stores, finding a quiet aisle and holding hard onto shelves to give my balance a break. My mom walks with me arms linked; it may look like I’m trying to be a gentleman, but she’s the one helping me to maintain balance while walking.
I’ve been working on filing for SSI for a while now. It has been a difficult process, especially since my condition is so unique. I’ll write up a summary of the experience once everything is done.

My health in April was a little worse than normal. As usual, I do not know what makes me sicker at times. Maybe my condition just ebbs and flows, with weeks of me feeling worse and then returning to my usual, still not good state.
I had a kidney stone for the first time. It caused some short periods of intense pain, enough to make me nauseated, but I was more worried about maintaining my balance during the 5 hour visit to the doctor rather than the actual stone. It has already passed and is no longer an issue.
