Health update
Hi everyone! Long time no post.
As some of you already know, I’ve been very sick for months now. For reference, check out the Earth Axis Syndrome article. While I’ve been dealing with this disability for many years, something triggered the symptoms to get worse earlier this year. As such, I have not been able to program for a while now or engage in many other enjoyable activities like playing video games. Just walking can be difficult and there are times I’m too sick to sleep at night.
I am visiting a neuro-otologist in October who suspects I may have utricular dysfunction. I really hope to find some answers and help to get me healthy again.
Please continue to email me with software or medical questions. I apologize in advance that I will not be able to reply in a timely manner. Thank you for your patience.
I will post again with the results of my doctor visit.
i’m sorry to read that, hoping you’ll be better soon.
btw. i just discovered some weird behavior on my paperwhite. i tagged all the mangai-created mobis with the right authors and according to programs like calibre, all the metadata changes were saved properly, but when copied to the paperwhite, the author everywhere still shows up as “mangai”. any ideas?

I would guess other programs have trouble changing author information due to mobi being Amazon proprietary format. When MangAI creates a mobi, it first creates an epub and then passes it through Amazon’s mobi creator. Changing the data after it has become a mobi may be difficult.
When I am healthy enough to program again, I can add an option to allow the user to set the author of the manga instead of using the default author as mangai.
thx. take your time, it’s not that important.
