New to version 1.00b: -Bug fix: Invalid collection of computer data for trial licensing
As trial licenses are tied to both your email address and your computer, gathering the correct computer information is important. I accidentally left open the possibility for invalid computer information to be gathered. This could cause multiple computers to map to the same identification, and, in turn, new users could be denied a trial license.
This has been fixed. -Check for Update feature added to the GUI
Click Help->Check for Update to see if a new version of MangAI is available.
Still working on the @prefix option that will allow you to specify a custom prefix for output filenames. As the bug fix above is important, I didn’t want to delay this release any further.
New to version 1.00a: -Bug fix: “There was a problem communicating with the licensing server.”
When trying to request or activate a license, you would get the above error message. This has been fixed.
Fresh out of the oven. *mmm* Love that new software smell.
MangAI v1.00 is available for download from the MangAI project page. For those of you who have been using Canti up till now, MangAI uses Canti as a base, then adds a dash of fixes, a pinch of modifications, and several heaping handfuls of new AI.
From within MangAI you can request a free 30 day trial, after which you may purchase a full license to continue using the program. MangAI full license is being offered at a special introductory price of $5 until the end of this year. Starting in 2012, the price will increase to $10.
As this is a new program, please let me know if you experience any problems. You can leave a comment to this post or email me through the Contact page.
Enjoy everyone!
-Update-
Oops, looks like licensing server communication isn’t working.
I’ve fixed the problem, and the updated code (v1.00a) will be posted today. I have a doctor’s appointment this morning, so expect the code around 2pm EST.
*…A new fantastic…* no wait, I should stop before I get sued :P
It may not be a whole new world, but we do have a new site on a new server. The old site was having server problems (couldn’t write to files, meaning no adding posts or leaving comments). Now everything should be working properly.
Most things should look about the same as before. The Canti page is gone and MangAI has taken its place. I’m still finalizing the code for MangAI. It should be available in the next few days.
